Paris Fashion Week is a fashion trade show held twice a year in Paris - one for the spring/summer collection and one for the autumn/winter. It is one of the "Big 4" fashion weeks held across the globe, the others being in London, Milan and New York. It is no surprise that the French capital is a meeting point for designers and models - it is, after all, home to many renowned fashion houses such as Dior, Chanel or Louis Vuitton. Moreover, the fashion industry has been one of the main points of export in France since the 17th century.

The first Paris Fashion Week took place 1973 at Versailles Palace. Today, it features over 90 fashion shows from the best designers and thousands of visitors in the span of 9 days. The products must be relevant to the given collection (summer, winter etc) and can include all kinds of men and women's clothing or accessories.

The next Paris Fashion Week will take place from the 4th until the 11th of March, 2015, mainly at the Carrousel de Louvre, but a few shows will be held at other locations throughout the city.

Paris, France
