Texworld is an influential Parisian trade show - with nearly 9000 exhibitors and 15, 000 professional visitors from 27 countries attending each year, it is the largest event focusing on the textile industry. The aim is to present the latest trends, explore fresh fashion and encourage networking between designers, manufacturers and others related to the field. The show is organized by Messe Frankfurt, one of the largest trade show organizers in the world, with hundreds of well-known events across the globe.

The main sectors of the show are as follows: new collections of textile equipments, machineries and accessories, best solutons in fashion and fashion accessories sourcing, fashion accessory manufacturers, schools of fashion and business, unique garments, best creations, lates trends & innovations. The fabrics that can be found at the event include cotton, denim, wool, wool blends, silk, linen, embroidery, lace, knitted fabrics, functional fabrics and many more. 

In the recent years, Texworld decided to stress the importance of ethical and ecological production for fashion. Over 100 certified, eco-friendly exhibitors presented their fabrics at the 2012 edition of the show - the number increased to 140 by 2013. 

Additionally, Texworld creates opportunities for fashion students (and others), as it organizes a specialist workshop, where students can work on creating various women's and men's clothing with the advice of some of the most influential teachers in the industry. 

The next edition of the event will take place from the 9th until the 12th of February, 2015 at the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourge. There are also editions of the same show held in New York and Istanbul.
