An Integrated Industry Project

BALTPIEK, POLFISH, MLECZNA REWIA, GASTROEXPO create Northern Poland’s largest trade event dedicated to the food and hospitality industry. The event is held in Gdansk, at the new AmberExpo Exhibition and Convention Centre. This integrated project features four specialised shows: BALTPIEK Fair of Bakery, Confectionery and Ice Cream Products, GASTROEXPO Fair of Equipment and Supplies for the HoReCa Industry and Shops, POLFISH Fair of Seafood Processing and Products and MILKY REVUE Dairy Fair.

The project is delivered under the motto: Healthy! Meaning What? The event’s formula is expanded to include a shared exhibition agenda, launched with a debate on “Healthy! Meaning What? – The Secrets of Wholesome Business.” For the first time the shows includes products related to healthy eating and dietetics. As usual, the agenda includes multiple meetings within the industry, training sessions, professional seminars, consultation and advice for individual customers carried out with the participation of experts and representatives of Poland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

There are many concurrent events on the agenda, such as: Conference on How to Bake to Sell More Bread, Conference on The Traceability and Labelling of Seafood Products, Conference on The Nutritional Value of Fish, Seminars for dieticians and food science professionals, Culinary demonstrations by the Polish Chefs’ Association’s Olympic Team, Baking demonstrations by Irish, Slovak and Hungarian bakers, National Young Chefs Culinary Relay, Nursery for Sweet Talent Competition, Dietician Zone - consultations for individual customers.

Integrated in terms of subjects matter and dates, the synergy between the above projects creates optimum conditions for product presentation and extra opportunities to establish business relations and find business partners.

The best products presented at the fairs receive Mercurius Gedanesis Medals and the Special Award: Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cup.

The trade visitors include: owners, managers, franchisees of restaurants, cafes, bars, pizzerias, cafeterias, canteens, catering companies, roadhouses, motels, hotels, B&Bs, leisure centres, bakeries, patisseries, ice cream parlours, fish and chip shops, grocery, fish and dairy stores, food and dairy wholesalers, chefs, dieticians, managing directors and purchasing officers from supermarket chains and discount food chain stores.
