European Society of Cardiology Congress

The ESC Congress is the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). ESC is recognized as Europe’s largest medical meeting, world’s largest cardiovascular Congress. It gathers over 25,000 active participants (mainly cardiologists) and takes place every year in August/September in a different European city.

According to current estimates, the event generally attracts over 30,000 participants (delegates, speakers and industry representatives) from more than 150 countries. Every year, the European Society of Cardiology Organization brings together all the different cardiology professionals, ranging from surgeons and clinicians to researchers and nurses.

Main topics discussed during the event include: Arrhythmias, Heart Failure, LV dysfunction, Valvular disease, Pulmonary circulation, Myocardial-Pericardial disease, Congenital heart disease & Paediatric cardiology, Ischaemia, CAD, ACC, Interventions, Peripheral Circulation, Stroke, Surgery, Prevention, Rehabilitation, Sports, Nursing, Hypertension, Pharma, Basic Science, Cardiac Imaging, Computers.

Last year's edition of ESC in Munich shows that the ESC annual congress has become an international forum. It is the biggest cardiovascular forum at the moment with one third of our attendees coming from non ESC countries and also there is a focus on education with the launch of the ESC e-learning platform.
