European Medical Congress within Neurological Science

The EFNS is an organization that unites and supports neurologists across the whole of Europe. Currently, 44 European national neurological societies are registered members of the EFNS, thus the EFNS represents more than 19,000 European neurologists.

The event organized by EFNS is an annual congresses, usually taking place in September. EFNS provides an unmatched opportunity for neurologists to join over 5,000 colleagues to study and disseminate the latest research, clinical practices and treatments. EFNS Congresses are organized annually, except in years when the World Congress of Neurology takes place in Europe. EFNS Congresses are held in European cities located in the countries of EFNS member societies.

The congress provides a platform for specialists in neurology to study current research, clinical practices and treatments. A rich scientific program features presentations by world experts, CME credits, focused workshops, and teaching courses. The congress also supports young neurologists by offering awards and bursaries.

In-line with the aim of the EFNS organization, this leading neurology event aims to advance the development of neurology as an independent specialty caring for all patients with a disease of the nervous system.

This year's Congress of the European Federation of Neurological Societies is held in Vienna, Austria. EFNS Congress is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), the institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists.
