World Business Fair for Office Automation, Information Technology, Telecommunications

CeBIT is the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments. The key target groups are users from industry, the wholesale/retail sector, skilled trades, banks, the services sector, government agencies, science and all users passionate about technology. CeBIT offers an international platform for comparing notes on current industry trends, networking, and product presentations.

The trade fair is held each year on the Hanover fairground, the world's largest fairground, in Hanover, Germany, and is considered a barometer of the state-of-the-art in information technology. It is organized by Deutsche Messe AG.

Running over a five-day period in Hanover, Germany, the CeBIT Global Conferences (CGC) are staged congruently with the CeBIT Exhibition. The conferences are dedicated to providing a 360° overview of the digital industry’s four core markets: IT, Telecommunications, Digital Media and Consumer Electronics. Noted industry figures and researchers from across the globe are invited to speak on the latest relevant trends and innovations as well as their impact on society and the working world. The conference is divided up into keynote speeches, talks and panel discussions.

CeBIT Hannover consists of four platforms, namely Cebit pro, Cebit gov, Cebit lab and Cebit life.

CeBIT pro showcases the complete spectrum of professional ICT technologies, divided into three display categories, and offers innovative business solutions for all sectors of the industry.

CeBIT gov is the only exhibition platform of its kind, offering a comprehensive overview of the challenges currently facing the public sector. The displays on the theme of e-government show how ICT solutions are helping to facilitate the modernization of public administration at every level – European, national, regional and local.

CeBIT lab is the place where decision-makers from scientific institutions, industrial companies, universities, start-up and spin-off enterprises – as well as product and business developers from all sectors – come in order to present their visionary concepts, research findings and prototypes.

CeBIT life platform offers a complete overview of the ICT trends that are shaping the way we work and live today. The spotlight is on discovering mobile solutions and jointly developing lifestyle applications and technologies, as well as on expert discussions and today’s focus on new business models.
