Taipei International Information Technology Show

COMPUTEX TAIPEI has become the largest computer exhibition in Asia and the second largest in the world, next to CeBIT in Germany. Each year, key global businesses come to this event to launch their new products. Since a large portion of the businesses in the world have research and deployment centers or production facilities in Taiwan, this exhibition attracts observers, analysts, and journalists of computer and information industries from all over the world to discover and report the latest technologies, developments, and trends.

The target visitor group of COMPUTEX includes professionals relate to: Communications; display Equipment; Components & Parts; Peripherals; Software & Applications; Computer Systems, Motherboards & Add-on Cards; Data Storage Device/ Media; Digital Audio/ Video; Car Electronic Devices; Security; IP Telecom; IP Application; Embedded Products

Trade visitors have the opportunity to see the latest solutions and innovations that can help get their businesses forward. In addition, the fair is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and business partners.

COMPUTEX is co-organized by government-funded Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and private sector Taipei Computer Association (TCA). The first expo, then called Taipei Computer Show, was held in 1981 and started out as a place where small and medium sized businesses in Taiwan's nascent computer industry could display their products.

Founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is the foremost non-profit trade promotion organization in Taiwan. Jointly sponsored by the government, industry associations, and several commercial organizations, TAITRA assists Taiwan businesses and manufacturers with reinforcing their international competitiveness and in coping with the challenges they face in foreign markets.
