NAFSA, the world’s largest international higher education meeting, is acknowledged across the education sector as an excellent opportunity for creating and extending networks and bilateral agreements between higher education institutions throughout the world.

The NAFSA Annual Conference brings together more than 8,500 professionals in the field of international education for five packed days of training workshops, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and special events. Featuring more than 250 sessions and workshops, networking opportunities, and a dynamic and exciting exposition with more than 400 exhibitors from around the world.

NAFSA provides a multitude of educational offerings for international education professionals at all levels of experience and in every specialty. The event brings together international education leaders from around the world to exchange views, learn new perspectives, and form new alliances. The organizers try to gather together international student advisers, exchange program developers, university administrators and faculty members, service providers, and others for five packed days of training workshops, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and special events.

This year’s plenary speakers offer diverse points of view and inspire and challenge the conference audience with their dynamic approaches to confronting issues we face in today’s world. Preconference workshops provide participatory learning opportunities to strengthen and broaden your skill set. Whether you've been in the field for years or are just getting started, NAFSA offers a workshop that may be right for you. Learn the latest proven approaches, regulations, and trends, and ensure that your institution remains competitive in the global environment of higher education. These opportunities help you develop the knowledge, skills, and ideas you need to better serve your organization or institution, move forward in your professional development, and engage effectively with colleagues from around the globe.

This year's event is held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California by NAFSA Association. With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA is the world's largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education. NAFSA and its members believe that international education and exchange—connecting students, scholars, educators, and citizens across borders—is fundamental to: establish mutual understanding among nations, prepare the next generation with vital cross-cultural and global skills, and create the conditions for a more peaceful world.
