International Cruise Industry Convention

Reflecting Seatrade's long-term commitment to the development of the cruise industry in Asia, the third edition of the Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention takes place at the iconic Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal in China. The Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention is organized by Seatrade, in association with Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, Shanghai Municipal Hongkou District People’s Government and Shanghai International Port (Group) Co. Ltd. (SIPG), and is supported by the Asia Cruise Association, Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal and the Shanghai International Conference Management Organization. Seatrade has been publishing and organizing events for the industry across Asia, including Japan, Singapore and China since 1991.

Continued industry expansion in Asia translates into huge opportunities for both local and international suppliers. Heavy investment being made in port and destination infrastructure is attracting more and bigger ships, bringing more passengers. As cruise lines consider tailoring their product for the Asian source market, they are looking to establish new suppliers for their activities in the region. Heightened confidence in Asia’s potential is resulting in many of the world’s cruise lines making deeper commitments to the region, an action reflected in numerous high-level speaker confirmations for this year’s event.

The conference program features over 40 key industry experts discussing the growing importance and massive potential of China and the wider Asian markets for the cruise industry.

Last edition of Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention attracted exhibitors from a range of cruise ship supply sectors from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Thailand as well as from the US, Spain and United Arab Emirates.

The upcoming Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention provides an unrivaled opportunity for suppliers, cruise lines and destinations to develop business in this growing market. The integrated format of this conference-led event allows for a free flow of communication between exhibitors such as technical suppliers, hotel and hospitality product providers, ports, destinations and tourist boards and the cruise buyers and decision-makers attending the conference.

The event’s conference sessions examine the outlook for cruise development across the whole of Asia, with newly released session titles including New Asian Itineraries & Destinations, Unlocking the Potential of China & the Other Asian Source Markets, Shipbuilding & Refurbishment in Asia & the Role of Asian Yards, Operational Challenges for the Industry in Asia and Asia’s River Cruise & River Boat Tourism, as well as the keynote plenary session, The State of the Cruise Industry in Asia.

Attendees are promised an integrated conference and networking experience, with a packed social program complementing industry-critical session content as well as an international exhibitor element and onsite cruise agent training, plus the opportunity to attend the add-on program at Baoshan’s cruise terminal.
